Bethany College is a national liberal arts college located on a beautiful historic 1,300 acre mountaintop campus in the Northern Panhandle

more than 25 fields of study and a Master of Arts program in Teaching.

The Education Department at Bethany College is seeking applications for a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor of Physical Education/Teacher Education to teach physical education core and concentration courses for Physical Education/Teacher Education candidates. This position will begin in August 2013.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D degree in physical education teacher education required with an emphasis in pedagogy, curriculum, and instruction in K-12 physical education preferred. Elementary and/or secondary physical education teaching, college teaching, and student teaching supervisory skills are preferred.

Applications should include a letter of interest, copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts, professional vita, three letters of reference and brief statements on teaching philosophy and undergraduate research interests. Candidates who are interviewed will be required to give a teaching demonstration.
